Mani Salim
Experience
Mani Salim has taught at the Gulf Montessori School in Kuwait where she implemented a Montessori philosophy in Pre-mathematical and pre-literacy skills within the learning environment. She has worked one on one with children who were facing learning difficulties and developed individual learning plans for each child using record cards and daily recorded observations, as well as planning and coordinating curriculum areas according to themes. In this role she has also used teacher evaluation assessments and school collaborations. She fostered relationships with families and parents by encouraging an active learning process in their homes and by conducting parent-teacher conferences biannually. She also introduced a yearly plan for the team and the classroom with goals to achieve.
I have 12 years of teaching experience in lower level from the age of 2.5 years to 6 years. Mani has previously taught in Kuwait in a Montessori school and Azerbaijan in an English Language School.

I conducted daily classroom plans, rotas, observations, assessments, and curriculum implementations in a Montessori setting of 32 children as a lead teacher (classroom coordinator). I believe that children learn best in a nurturing, child-initiated play-based environment that foster self-confidence, trust, creativity, independence, and self-discipline.
Outside of work, I love to travel and explore the world as well as read books. I am also a food-blogger often take photographs of food and write up reviews of new recipes or restaurants that I try. However, I do have other interests, such as; reading, yoga, outdoor cycling, painting, and cooking.
