Dr. Paul M. Lea, IV

Experience

Dr. Lea comes to VFA Qatar after serving four years as the Dean of the Academy at Valley Forge Military Academy (VFMA).  As Dean he ran the schoolhouse ranging from 7th to 12th grade young men.  Prior to VFMA Dr. Lea, served as Assistant Dean of Engineering and as Associate Professor of Biology at Northern Virginia Community College, where he taught for nine years.  He has had successful careers in academia, government, and industry and has held roles  as a senior administrator, military officer, published research scientist, teacher, administrator, and entrepreneur.

Education

Dr. Lea completed his Post-Doctorate education at Georgetown University in the Neuroscience Department, his Ph.D in Human Anatomy and Physiology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and an MS in Biology from Villanova University. Prior to his BS in Biology at Cabrini University, Dr. Lea attended Valley Forge Military Academy and College for six years earning his high school diploma and his AA degree in Liberal Arts.  He was accepted into VFMAC’s Early Commission Program, which allowed him to receive his commission in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant.   Dr. Lea’s educational experience at VFMAC and beyond will help VFA-Qatar implement our five fundamental cornerstones:  Academic Excellence, Character Development, Leadership, Physical Development and Personal Motivation.
